PPC: A Basic Introduction

As an internet marketing fanatic, three letter words are definitely the way we role. We've explained the magic of SEO by breaking it down step by step and helping you understand just what is involved and what you can achieve if you do it right and now it's time to move onto our next magic three letters; PPC.
PPC stands for pay per click and refers to the paid for ads that appear above organic search listings and on the right hand side…the ones that fit in the yellow and white boxes; those are the ones.
Think of every time you search for something on the internet; hopefully by now you will be aware that for businesses to get on the first page of those search engine results they need to spend a lot of time and effort optimising their website and their offsite marketing using those magic keywords. However SEO is a long and arduous process which is why many companies will want to see results faster and that's where PPC campaigns come in.
With Google constantly updating it's algorithm; to say SEO is a daily battle is an understatement to say the least. One day a business may be on top and the next it may be down frighteningly low but PPC advertising helps companies get on top of results without the fear of fluctuation.
It's all in the name; the paid adverts your business will have appear on the top or side of search results will only cost you if a user clicks; meaning you get the right impressions and only pay when you have grabbed that user. Hopefully if your website is good enough and passes usability tests then the users who click through will potentially become customers and as a result the click through will pay for itself…what could be better than that?
With the right internet marketing company; your business can hit the right keywords and in the right time. There are countless companies specialising in PPC campaigns but the right company will undertake heavy research and use your budget with your best interests in mind; however it is a risky business so make sure you are careful who you go for.
If you have a budget and desire results then PPC is a must; you really can get noticed in a flash!
