We've said it time and time again and we still haven't changed our mind; in fact our belief that technology is very much the way forward is as strong as ever. The continuous updates offered to the world in the form of new PC and smartphone designs and the increasing efforts of businesses to kick up their online marketing and incorporate mobile marketing into their strategies proves that technology is at the forefront of our everyday lives.

With the latest iPhone technology offering high quality 4G connection; the world became excited at the possibilities yet unfortunately the UK is still far behind. With 4G technology being fitted into numerous devices; major countries including the US and Australia flew ahead of the game as businesses made the most of what  the new technology allowed them to offer.

The UK however; despite offering the new smart phones and PCs; is still failing to offer the high speed connection meaning that businesses are failing to remain competitive in what is already a struggling market. Business directors and manager across the nation are left asking; how can we be competitive in the global market?

Currently the UK offers only 3G technology and even then connection is patchy in certain locations…so how are businesses expected to compete like this? Calls for the introduction of 4G technology have been kicked up. Slow broadband connection is causing a rift across the nation and thanks to the already struggling EU the question of world business battles remains unanswered.

An auction to determine who will carry 4G is rumoured to take place at the end of the year however this has yet to be officially revealed and no doubt will cause immense drama between the varying phone and internet companies want to get on top.

Online technology is crucial to businesses today; it is time our technology improved so that our business economy has a fighting chance!
