Bounce Rate...

So, you've got your website in place and instigated a strong online marketing campaign fitted with an SEO, PPC and social media structure that is sure to put your business on the map; but are you prepared for the pitfalls that may come your way? Online marketing is key to success in today's day and age but it is wise to be aware that your strategy won't be an immediate 'sure thing', in fact it may take some time to fine tune everything before you can truly head to success.
Bounce rate is the main signifier used to measure the effectiveness of your website and refers to the number of visitors who leave your site after viewing only one page, at the most. Any online marketing consultant will tell you that your website is the clinching factor in securing those all-important sales so your content, images, layout and landing pages need to be perfected right down to the letter in order to encourage visitors to stay on your site, delve deeper and take that step to making an enquiry or purchase.
Your marketing strategy will hopefully be pristine and ready to push your brand successfully however a relatively high bounce rate is still very much a possibility as the result of a few flaws including; your page loading time, web design (which may bore visitors if outdated), lack of call to actions, or it may even be a case that the SEO keyword or PPC advert takes your visitor to a completely irrelevant landing page. As a rule of thumb, it is argued that a 50% bounce rate is of the norm however keep on track and should your analytics pass this then it is fair to say that something is not quite right.
Is your online marketing as perfect as it can be?
