Google has enabled business around the country to utilise search engine optimisation in order to reach their target market. Whatever the business and whatever the industry; by optimising their websites with profitable keywords; online marketing has become a powerful tool for success however that has not always worked in Google's favour. The beauty of an SEO strategy is that any business has the opportunity to make themselves heard in the online sphere however it seems that not everybody has been utilising this for the right reasons.

The pirate film and music industry has been one of the fastest growing of our decade; all thanks to the internet and as a result people across the world have been able to download the latest Hollywood offerings in a matter of minutes and all free of charge but the folks at Tinseltown seem to finally be taking action.

Google has announced that it will begin issuing valid copyright removal notices in an effort to crack down on repeat offenders. The move comes in an effort to make downloading legitimate material far easier and provide a much needed olive branch to the heads of Hollywood who have argued for the search engine to crackdown on such sites.

Google originally ranks on the basis that those sites with high quality links are trust worthy however the Vice President of engineering has announced that another infamous change to its algorithm will occur that will result in sites with repeat copyright notices being bumped down.

Maybe Hollywood will finally crack a smile?
