Structuring a PPC Advert
As businesses throughout the country will know, the internet is the way forward. With the rise of mobile technology and the ever growing popularity of social networking sites; it is clear that the internet is central to our everyday lives which is why businesses are jumping on the bandwagon.
Search engine optimisation is a crucial element of online marketing and helps businesses achieve the desirable Google rankings required for success. SEO is a long and arduous battle which is why for many there is a strong desire for a more immediate impact and that is where PPC comes in.
PPC stands for pay per click and refers to online advertising whereby the business pays for each click they receive on the advertisement and in Google these are the listings which appear in yellow boxes above organic search results. As a part of our PPC guide we aim to break down this complex subject to help you understand just what is involved and just what can be achieved. We've discussed the basics of PPC and campaign preparation so now we will move on to structuring the perfect campaign.
Once you have fully prepared for your campaign it will now be time to set up your Google Adwords account. If you have an account with Google analytics then you're already set but if not then Google will take you through all the steps…piece of cake.
Once you have an account in place you need to decided just who you will be targeting i.e. the locations and demographics and of course your budget options but hopefully you will have covered this all in your preparation so you will be ready and raring to go.
When structuring the ideal PPC campaign you need to create the perfect advert; be sure to follow the right steps and include the right information for maximum exposure.
Your headline is so important to your advert, so although it needs to be short and sweet you will need to ensure it is keyword rich and intriguing; why not ask a question? You may find yourself drawing in the right audience in a far more effective way.
When it comes to the main body of your advert, you're going to want to stand out from the crowd so keep it catchy, highlight your USP and talk to your customers, not at them and you will find yourself ticking all the right boxes, follow on from your headline and encourage users to click through.
Whatever your advert may be fro, be sure to incorporate your keywords throughout your advert in the most dynamic way possible and ensure it reflects user search terms i.e. 'Buy Gas BBQ's Online'…think like a customer and you will find things will go a lot more smoothly.
Remember that is is all about attracting your target market so why not try an incentive; it can work wonders! Exclamation marks, pipes and full stops may seem like the most minor detail but they can really help you stand out; every little helps!
When structuring that ideal PPC advert, be sure to keep a clear focus in mind; it is all about attracting the customer so structure your campaign in a dynamic and enticing way and you will find that success will soon flow.
